Every so often, I come across people who want to become freelance writers. But for some reason, never seem to make that move. Instead, they are always talking about the numerous benefits associated with freelance writing. And what an excellent opportunity it is.

To tell you the truth, it really puzzles me that they know so much about freelance writing. Yet do nothing to seize this opportunity.

After all, not many people know that they can make good money from writing. Or even become successful business owners as freelance writers. Right from their own living rooms!

So, if you want to become a freelance writer. But for whatever reason can’t seem to get your feet on the ground and walk the talk. Then, consider asking yourself… Just what might be holding you back from becoming a freelance writer?

3 possible reasons why you never make the next move

1. Not really interested

More often than not, you might appear to be interested in freelance writing. But in real sense, you’re never serious about the idea. In fact, you do not even intend to commit to the idea. Don’t get me wrong, but I believe that most of the people in this group need to confront the real reason behind not taking any initiative. Rather than claiming not to be interested when actually, you are.

2. Not sure on how to go about it

In most cases, you may just be lacking the basic knowledge on how to go about it. Not everyone gets it in a flash. So, take your time and read as much as you can (online would be a good place to start). If need be, buy some books and continue reading. Talk to other freelancers, they can help you a lot. And within no time, you will be good to go!

3. Fear

Let’s admit it, venturing into a new career is not always easy. And it’s perfectly normal if you’re a bit scared. Most people are at the beginning but eventually calm down once they start and get used to freelance writing. Therefore, just be confident that you’re ready to start and focus on nothing else, but your goals. And believe me when I say that nothing will stop you. Even fear itself will be scared of you!

So, whether you identify with either of the above reasons or not. One thing is certain…

It’s about time you confronted whatever is stopping you, on this journey to become a successful freelancer writer!
